Brief
Half an hour, by call or in writing. We want the problem, the deadline and the order of magnitude of the budget. If it isn't work for us, we say so in that conversation — we don't disappear for a week and then send a proposal that doesn't fit.
- Day 1
Market consultation
We break the work into concrete lines — art direction, so many days; adaptations, so many pieces — and consult whoever in the pool meets the criteria. Each person quotes the same lines, which lets us compare like with like instead of reading proposals in different formats.
- Day 2–3
Short-list
You get two or three profiles with real portfolio, rate and availability — and the reason each one is there. You talk to them directly. The choice is yours, not ours.
- Day 4–5
Kick-off
Contract, defined milestones and first payment. Scallent invoices you in full and pays the talent against approved milestones — the money passes through us, which is what makes protected payment a real thing rather than a phrase.
What we guarantee
Protected payment
You pay against milestones you approve. The talent knows they get paid; you know you only pay for what was delivered.
No lock-in
No mandatory retainer and no exclusivity. On small or hourly-billed projects we ask for a €500 deposit upfront, and hours are drawn down from it — it isn't a fee, it's your balance. If you want to hire someone directly that you met through us, we'll talk about it — we won't sue you.
